Default Motor show shock!

How pi**ed off was i when i got to the Subaru stand, no WR1! had the camera out ready. Spoke to a salesman on the stand who informed me

"they didn't want to upset people by bringing a car that was sold out"

What a load of crap!

So, just because the WR1 is sold out they decide not to put the flagship impreza on the stand? How silly is that?

Well at least they turned up. BMW couldn't be arsed to appear at all. The UK is only their 3rd biggest market after all .......

The object of motor shows is to sell cars - not much point in using up part of your stand showing something you can't sell.

Three WR1s spotted at Elvington today, together with what seemed well over a hundred other scoobs of all descriptions. Weather was a scorcher and a Supra with 950bhp through the rear wheels and a drag bike doing 8.99 and 153mph for the quarter were some of the non scoob sideshows!

I can understand why they didnt take it either, they no longer need to advertise it.

Eh? WTF are you on about? As my near namesake just said, the motorshow is an advertising platform. What is the point in wasting floorspace advertising a car that is no longer on sale?

Where did you get the idea that the WR1 is the "flagship" Impreza? The WR1 was a limited edition special build, no more no less. IIRC they had a World RallyCar on the stand, which is probably more Subaru's flagship than anything else.

I wonder how many orders they took for the WRC that was taking up the advertising platform?
