Yup, another vote for this little product - does a good job, and without requiring an awful lot of elbow grease

Default Tar removal

I tried 'all of the above' to get tar spots off my alloys - what a pain in the ar$% ! In the end reverted to using my 'used' Swissol Paint Rubber which was completely effortless. Polished the wheels afterwards to prevent build up again. Depends on type of alloys you've got of course but most of the tar spots seem to collect around the rim by the spokes.

Autoglym for me, done regularly too, normally each wash!

I sometimes use clay from the good old usa, which is very good but quite time consuming!

Window washer fluid for tree sap though!

hail-hail - why would you want to fill a hole in your drive with petrol .

Thanks for the tips to all of you, plenty of ideas to get my wheels back to their normal shiny selves. Now where did I put those marygolds...

You had to mention Marygolds didn't you!! My wife is 36 weeks pregnant and her craving is Marygolds, she sits and chews the bloody things all night, does my head right in.

this might sound daft - but have you tried 'butter' - it does work, and is cheaper - have a look in your fridge..........
