Default Samco Hose Kits.......Any Point?

I am thinking of buying some Samco Hoses for my MY03 STI...

Is it purely a cosmetic thing or are there other benefits?

Yes there are benefits

1 Better quality than standard = less likely to break/perish or some off

2 Better cooling properties

3 Better flow properties especially on the induction pipe

4 cosmetically can look nice??

downs

1 could invalidate your warranty

2 expensive

However the above improvements will probably be only noticed when running a higher than spec car or using for trackday use/ driven hard a lot

just my humble opinion

MY02sti + some goodies and still warrantied (including samco pipes)

ps the sti pipes u get from subaru are manufactured by samco anways so quality of items shouldnt be a warranty issue

you can buy the sti front pipes (2 front samco pipes from subaru themselves - very expensive tho)

my MY02sti is under dealer warranty the only thing is IF u get the FULL samco pipe kit DONT fit the pipe that goes to the break cylinder/ breather it has a non-return valve in the original pipe but NOT in the samco putting the samco on causing you to have NO brakes on full boost - GULP i found out the hard way

any further info please feel free to pm me or add to thread

hawk out
