.....in the early hours with my windows down to get a good listen to my Afterburner Vortex ripping through the tunnel.

I think i've made the first sonic boom in there.
Anybody else done this in the early hours when it's nice and quiet?

i do this in belfast along whats called the west link which joins our two biggest motorways. it has high concrete walls on either side and my exhaust note along the whole stretch is just one big raukous roar. sounds mega.

Yup I've made the late-night trip through Hatfield tunnel on full boost more than a couple of times recently

...not that I know about

there are a couple of cameras pointing into the tunnel but I don't think they're speed cameras (long grey/white things that look like traffic cameras to me...)

anyhoo you don't have to go fast to have fun with noise.....

i hope there is any cameras in the hatfield tunnel! last time i remember going through there me and a few others had a rolling road block for about half a mile before so we could blast it through! altho does it make much difference if you only travel at 30mph! well until the tunnel anyway!
think i may have made myself deaf tho,with the roof off the tuscan its extremely loud even more so at a gentle speed through the tunnel!

One of my favourite places too - I go through there most mornings on my way to work. It is also where my 996 owning neighbour takes people to hear his sports exhaust

Gary Scoob.....i'm in East Cambridgeshire. Probably too far away for you.

The Vortex is very good. Rather loud on my full decat and can drone abit on motorways but that doesn't personally bother me. Go for the angled exit if you get one as this makes a considerable difference to performance on my decatted system.
