Started Swissol'ing
Started this afternoon ,soon realised its going to be a long job.
Also soon found out that one of the white swissol cloths isnt enough unless im doing something wrong....
Something else i noticed is that as soon as i get polish out it starts to rain
Should get it finished in the morning

I hope it looks good
If I get it finished in the morning im going to an RS show so ill take some photos before I go.....
So I will put photos up when im done...
Better look good ,I've already upset the girl friend when I told her how much it cost I got the old "you never spend that much on me" line.
Then I really put my foot in it when I told her your not worth £20k+

Wash 45mins (white wash cloth & autoglym synthetic chamois)
Cleanse 60mins (white applicator & 2x blue cloths)
Wax 30mins (black applicator & 2x blue cloths)
If it takes too long, sometimes it means that you're using too much product & when buffing, try to make sure that you're using your wrist, not your elbow to do the work.

A few hints & tips.
Always make sure that you have an extra cloth & chamois over what you need. Then if you drop one, you can just put it in for a wash & use a fresh cloth without risk of damaging your paint. Wash the every cloth you use every week (not the chamois).
For tar spots, use a dab of flora - lightly run into the spot & leave for 30 mins. They will then buff off with a polishing cloth without damaging your paint.
After a drive in the summer, use a wet polishing cloth & wipe the flies off the front bonnet, front spoiler & door mirrors. It takes about 2 mins. Then use a chamois to dry. It keeps the car looking clean & makes the weekly wash much easier & quicker. It also protects the paint as you don't have to scrub off a week's worth of flies.

Don't worry Jasoon it gets a lot easier after a few coats
also that cleanser is only a once a year job and that is the most time consuming part of it...... if you want more cloth's go into mothercare and buy a pack of terry nappies that will have the other half thinking you have gone completely nuts then I was going to get some the other day but could not pluck up the courage to walk in there !!!!!
What I do is this
1. Lightly pressure wash the car first
(I have plumbed my washer in the garage all I do is connect the gun on)
2. Wash with the Swissol flannel
3. Run one of those Silicon blades over lightly (Make sure there is lots of water on there for this... never blade semi dry)
4. Run a big bath towel over to dry.
No problems as yet and no marks of the blade at all, it took a while to get used to it.... and now I don't even consider the Chamois leather

My old DBM car was scratched by a silicon blade. I would never use one, but if you must, it is very important to make sure the blade is completely clean with no specs of dirt on the blade or car. Autogym synthetic chamois is fine for me.

6 months better get that cleanser out here then
Yes Nick I know the blade is a good topic starter...... up until now no problems at all, I just make sure the car is nice a wet and then it's just a quick flash over.... the towel does most of the drying.
I suppose having a silver car does help as I would be a little nervous myself if it was a dark colour.

I used an old bath towel Simon.
Think I was using too much cleanser.
getting a few squeaky towel moments that are mentioned in the instructions
She already knows im completely nuts so buying nappies wouldn't change anything
Sure she thinks there's someone in the garage with me, keep getting cups of coffee brought out to me.

Well I've finally finished its took about 6 hours but I think is been worth it.
I wasn't expecting much an improvement using Swissol but I think it looks better than when it left the showroom earlier this week.
Big thanks to Fulham71
