Right call me Mr Stupid but what exactly are the black clips that stick out of the side on the front windows .

Wife just closed the door and caught the window, nearly bloody bust it.

AFAIK they are wind deflectors but have no idea how they work.

They are there to guide the window into the seal as there is no guide rail above the doorline I think??

You need to adjust your windows. This kept happening on mine and you have to take the inner door panels off and then adjust the window down at the back (undo nut at the back of the door and move max window height down a few mm. You will now find that the window will no longer catch on these plastic things. Don't bring the window down too far otherwise it won't seal propoerly.
