Given that my brand new STi is to have the PPP fitted in 2 weeks I would really welcome a definitive view (probably impossible to get mind you) on whether a WR1 type power upgrade would be available for the STi.
Any help/views from you guys much appreciated before I hand over even more cash to Subaru. On past experience I will pay for this just before it gets enhanced (or reduced in price) - so speaks a bitter MY01 WRX owner.

Cant see IM/Prodrive letting the STiPPP have the same Power level as the WR1. I think that would lose the 'Value' of a 'Secial edition' and upset WR1 owners into the bargin IMHO

I can think of plenty of examples of actions taken by IM in releasing new cars / mods etc that have aggrivated customers, they seem not to care one little bit.....

Either way, it's pointless to speculate. As Dave says, the '04 PPP specification is as per the '03 one until International Motors/Prodrive or Subaru dealers say otherwise.

Whenever a Prodrive Performance Pack is developed it has to be agreed by IM as they "cover" the UK Warranty. Specifications are set and tests done on Each PPP version with that spec. So doubtfully they would 'Retro' improve or change Spec any 'Old PPP's' IMHO
In the USA they have had 3 level's of PPP (which are comparitively far more expensive than UK) but this is agreed by the USA equivilent of IM who thier Warranty. IIRC

Shame really as I am sure all those with doubts of the current PPP whould have no problem paying £2k for WR1 type PPP.
I certainly wouldnt be hesitating the way I am currently!
