Unhappy type r to 60

my last car was a my00 uk turbo which on paper did the 0 - 60 sprint in 5.4 and using the extremly accurate, mate with a stopwatch! timed it at 5.4 a couple of times. then de-cat and induction kitted (241 bhp), a couple of times at 5.0. i then traded that car for a low miler v6 type r ltd, which on paper is 4.6. i've de-catted, panel filtered and ecutek for optimax, so guessing around the 300/320 bhp mark. but only managed 0 - 60 in around 6 secs. because of the low gearing it needs 3rd to hit 60. i've got the same 17" wheels that where on the uk car. i no that 0 - 60 is not the be all and end all, but it is a benchmark. i love the car and on the road, real world driving it feels very fast and i'm really happy with it. but it is neerly 1.5 off the on paper time, so would like to know what other type r owners are doing? and does the standard sti do 60 in 2nd?

cheers stevie
