Default Import wrx docs

Hey Dudes
I have a Q for you. Ive just purchased a uk spec WRX which has been imported from Malta. I.M. wont honour the warranty but thats not a prob as supplier has given a comprehensive 3yr warranty. The only thing is I have no document wallet. I have WRX manual but no service book etc. Does anyone know where I should start my quest in order to obtain these missing bits as id like to have them.
cheers
Mark

you say you have a comprehensive warranty i presume this is supplied from the dealer in malta. if subaru uk won't honour it what would you do if the garage in question goes out of business ? .

Its actually a Pan European warranty, liaco subaru in malta supply. The only reason Subaru UK would not Honour the warranty is because up until a few days ago, malta where not in the EU. They are now lol, and subaru UK will now have to honour the maltese cars. Who needs a warranty anyhow, its a saving of 3k.

for your question Bully, here is the e-mail address for subaru Liaco LTD Malta.

aftersales@liaco.com.mt

Address is- LIACO LTD (SUBARU MALTA)
Mosta Road Lija BZN09

TEL- 418111 you'll need to find out the code for malta.

out of interest who did you go through when buying the car, or did you do it yourself. you should not have a problem, contact them and explain the situation. if you went through a import company they should be able to sort all this for you.

hope this helps

Paul

bully if you purchased the car yourself from malta, subaru japan can insist subaru uk carry out any warranty work needed. if you bought from importer your contract is with them ,not the dealer in malta. quick question would your importer be happy picking you up if stranded in europe, if you had a pan warranty you'd be covered with subaru assistance . and what if the importer folded your left with no warranty whatsoever, cars from malta purchased before 1st may 2004, do not come with pan european warranties. you are not registered with subaru uk, or subaru europe only liaco malta

Sorry to ask a difficult question but the Motorpoint cars' I looked at from Malta were not UK spec (no side airbags). How's yours?

Thumbs down

AIUI pan-European warranty does not include Subaru assist. My car came from Belgium and I never received any Subaru assist documentation. Those that have tell me that the small print states 'only applicable in country of origin', or similar
