STI 4 RA V-Ltd - Questions
Hi,
Looking at maybe going from my UK turbo to a STI 4 RA V-Ltd. I don't know a great deal about these apart from the normal features and must run 100 ron fuel.
Just wondering what I should be looking out for - good/bad etc ?
Been told 11k for 46k miles is good price ?

hi mate,
just bought a sti 2 v-ltd, trying to find out the diff's myself, i know you get all the benifits of an Sti, ie nicer interior, 280bhp standad, uprated pistons etc, generally designed with ragging in mind i reckon (to an extent obviously!) running mine on SUL at the moment, not saying everyone else should but i've not had any probs, though i may be getting a knocklink to confirm this.
enjoy the car when you get it!

Mark and I weren't joking about cars blowing up on SUL on the way home from being collected. While there are of course other causes for this sort of failure, volunteering for a det-inspired meltdown might not be considered the cleverest course of action.

you will be surprised going from a uk turbo to an ra its a fair step. I did the same and its the low ratio gearbox that makes the biggest difference imho, very rapid in the mid range.
