Smile A Legacy The Decisions Made

After running 3 subaru's

1:Classic Turbo
2:Forester Turbo
3: MY 03 WRX

I decided for an upgrade and ordered a WR1,after seeing it I was not happy with the colour or indeed some of the test reports that I have read, this order has since been cancelled and I have been looking for an alternative vehicle and in fact I started an intersesting thread about BMW 330d's I have since trawelled the countrty looking at all available cars within my £30k price limit and low and behold I have endeed up back in a Subaru showroom.

I have tyoday driven a Legacy 3.0RN (wow) what a piece of kit and have indeed placed an order, it just so happens that the dealer has the exact model that I want in stock, so will be collecting at the weeekend.

IMHO this car is far and avbove any of the German rivals in this price bracket, so I will now be the happy driver of a high spec Legacy with 245 ps and 297nm respectively + excellent build quality and no lag.

They are very nice aren't they!! I went out in one earlier this week. As you said the feel of quality and driveabilty, especially the for the price, put the cabbage eaters to shame!!!

I'm most likely going for a GT spec B imported from Japan

Thumbs up Good choice IMHO

Well, despite the fact that Scoobynet is dedicated to Imprezas, you are going for the model that keeps the 6 star ship afloat And it is still a Subaru after all, so you won't have to hide in "other marques"

Enjoy the turn in

Good choice

Maybe we'll have enough Legacy owners to get a 'Legacy' section on ScoobyNet?

Let's not provoke the Impreza owners - it wasn't long ago that Legacy topics were moved to the "Other Marques" section. After all, the next Rex will probably get many or all of the improvements of the current Legacy (not to mention quite a few tricks of its own of course). They are both real Subarus in the end.

Or are we doomed to be hived off into a little section? There is always www.legacysti.com if you are desperate to get into a Legacy only zone, but naturally there is much less banter, and it is not UK based, so not as specific.

Surely the Impreza owners appreciate the Legacy as much as the Legacy owners appreciate the Impreza

I personally like both but wanted something a little different

Default This is it the last night

Well,

After 6 years of owning blown subaru's, this is my last night with MY03 WRX as I am picking up the New Legacy 3.0RN at lunchtime tomorrow, I now need to know if it is possible to buy tuning bits for the said beast.

I will miss the MY03 in some ways but in other I shall be glad to see the back of it.

Welcome to the AWD comfort zone

Full report tomorrow.

I test drove one and thought the turn in was better than my WRX. The 3 litre saloon is a great stealth car :-)

I have the pleasure of driving both a Legacy 2.5auto and an Impreza on a daily basis, the leggy is more refined than the Impreza but does not have the 'fun' factor, they are both fine cars though. Same as said earlier the Legacy is a great stealth car, dont look much but it goes when you boot it enough, as for the impreza ,we all know what there capable of
