Bloomin' Paintwork
#1
Don't know if anyone else has had a similar problem, so stop me and buy one if you've heard this before.
My MY99 in red is lovingly washed and chammied each week, but last night, I noticed that the paint on both A pillars is starting to bloom and lose its gloss. I sat there for a minute, thinking, and then realised that the hot air exiting the bonnet grilles must be frying it off. I've often sat there, letting the engine cool down after a blat and thought how hot it was, but I'd never imagined it could do that.
Now I'm sure the gentle application of T-Cut would remove the problem, but why should *I* do that on a car less than a year old?!
Anyone else had a similar experience? (Cue sound of front doors slamming as owners race to check cars)
