UK/EU Newage owners: anyone use booster
As above really.
I have a Tek3/decat WRX (2002) - was wondering what benefits I would see from using booster eg. Millers.
Is this a bad/dangerous move in any way in terms of the engine, or is upping the octane content always a good thing??
I always use optimax - anything less (including BP Ultimate) lights up the Knocklink currently....

I've got a Tek3 (Bob rawle) and de-catted MY02 bugeye and have often wondered what to do.
Bob maped the car for Optimax but mentioned that Octane booster could be used for special occasions like RR and track days Ninnybobs dropped some booster in for a Well Lane RR day and I got 325 BHP and when I drove it home felt much better.
Now I hear that Roger Clark Motorsport have stocks of NF I'm tempted to use it all the time
what else have you done to your's ??
Midlife.....

Dave R - don't be afraid of using it - it won't do any harm as in you can't put too much in or anything like that, and on a hot day or poor fuel or tracking it etc, it's an engine saver

OK thanks FatBoy, I'll be getting hold of some pronto, as I've seen det on both very hot and very cold days (basically it seems that the temp the car was mapped at (about 8 deg C in mid-January) is the only outside temp it is entirely happy with....)
