Pro's and cons? Has anyone got one?
Pro: big saving on list price

There are importers like Lichfield Import's and TSL that can aid you in your quest, they will also service/Warranty/Mods.

You could go it alone and by from Holland, there was some time ago "group" buys. Which gave a good insight for a "Import" newby

Are the savings really that big, still?

The pound isn't as strong as it was a few years back and I believe actual UK retail prices have fallen over the years too...
