Which Tyres for MY03 Sti8 17" Rims
My tyres are in need of replacement very soon and I was wondering whether I should stick to the Bridgestones or try something else as I've not been too happy with them in the wet. Prodrive seem to favour Pirellis although a lot of people seem to be singing the praises of Goodyear Eagle F1s. I had these on my BMW and they completely transformed the wet handling and were massively quieter. Anyone out there got any experience or know the result of a previous thread? Cheers!!

Anything but Bridgestone RE040's!! .
P-Zeros are generally better in the dry than the wet. Goodyear F1's are considered one of the best at the moment and probably what I will go for next although Toyo's are well worth a look and also well priced

Characteristics of various tyres can vary quite dramatically, transforming a cars ride and handling from superb to scary, and of course from scary to superb! I have a MY03 WRX with Bridgestone 050's, which are excellent tyres, like chewing gum, soft compound, really stick to the road in all weathers, and I recently bought 4 gold wheels off a friend who had them on his MY03 STi, with Bridgestone O4O's. The diffefence was dramatic, they are a very hard tyre, which produced a noisy ride, bumpy ride and severe tramlining. I now have my original Bridgestones 050's back on. Only buy tyres which have been tried and tested by other members on here!

Goodyear Eagle F1 - GSD3 - there is no better all rounder ....
Michelin Pilot Sport 2 - Good Tyre - but expensive ....
Bridgestone SO3 Pole Positions are great in the dry, but not so in the wet!
Not tried the PZero Nero or Rosso, but both are meant to be quite good if a little noisy!
