The starting price is £12k with a "reserve not met" marker, fine so far if you are interested in this sort of car.
So whats the catch, well the same car was up for sale last week for £8250 from a reputable salvage yard D.A Autos at Dumfries, having bought it straight from the insurance company that paid out on the car and they were prepared to negotiate slightly on price!!
Now thats what i call a rip off

It looks like a standard WRX to me, but with regards to the price if the new owner is trying to make a profit then leave it to him! it just business at the end of the day

Thats not a 300R - the 300R is black only and this is a standard WRX.

WRX Scoop, Wheels, Interior, Spoiler, Fogs, Brakes.

There was a real one for sale in Falkird several months back with 19" alloys, Proper STi equipment, large exhaust, Tints etc and all the 300R badging.

If its a standard WRX it's got to be well pricey ??

At the end of the day, its salvage and always will be now its been written off.

The real 300R is a main dealer upgrade with WRC exhaust, intake 19" alloys, brakes etc. It costs £29,999 new and has the same sort of BHP as a standard STi - not a WRX - it also has massive rear spoiler - I have a picture of one, saved from a dealers site will post shortly.

That's a new one on me. I thought the only options were WRX or WRX SL. Is it just one or two dealers doing their own upgrade package and calling it 300R?

£30k seems very, very expensive given that a brand new STI is only £25k - which I guess might explain why I've never heard of it. You have to ask the question, 'why?'

yeah, but add large wheels, brakes, exhaust onto a STI and you'll get £30K very easily.

Agree with sammyh, it is just business and most people would probably do the same in that position, but £4k++ profit! if it goes beyond the starting price, a little ott i think. Just a note of caution to other scoobynet peeps, thats if anyone on here was interested in bidding on it, but at the end of the day if your happy paying that figure then its your decision

Why has he MOT'd a 2003 car ?

And it clearly has standard 03 17" alloys not 18"
