Really irritating, why don't people...
... post their questions in the correct forums ???
[RANT]
If you have a technical question, here's a wild idea, post it in the Technical Forum!
The Scoobynet General forum is getting clogged with too many post which should be elsewhere.
And while I'm having a rant, is anyone else getting really bored with posts starting ...
"Help !!! Been done for doing xx in a 30/40/50/60/70mph zone. What is this NIP thing ? What should I expect ? etc etc etc"
Virtually the same posts and replies are appearing daily, or several times a day. Another radical thought, perhaps people could be less lazy and do a "Search" for information ?
To the Mods, maybe we should have a speeding forum with stickys which answer the usual FAQ's?

Here here. i agree!
but your idea on searching for a perticular topic is only easiest if your are a SN member and probably anly 1/4 are actually members, so searching using the options at the botton of 'topic area' takes forever, and you could miss the topic you were looking for, by scrolling too fast etc...

Quite agree the general forum being clogged up with posts that shouldnt be there, like this one. Non-scooby related?

I dont see the problem.
If you dont want to read it it general, you wont want to read it in technical. So dont open it.
Its hard enough getting a response from the smaller tech and drivetrain areas due to the mass of people viewing general.
Isnt there a war you can go and stop?
They had a neuclear arms march last week, did you make it?

I do agree about the speeding related threads - I am going to talk to Si and Shaun and see if we can do something about a new forum to cover this and speeding related issues.
Any other thoughts?

In any case, if you want an answer to a technical question, it's more likely to get answered in the technical forums where it'll stay nearer the top for longer, and where the people best placed to answer it are likely to read first.

Agree with greasemonkey. Otherwise, why have different forums? Dedicated forums allow us to post up permanent threads on specific topics, which should stop a lot of the repeat questions being asked - this is one of the things I wanted to do with speeding related topics.

Problem with the For Sale forums is that there are too many people willing to try and circumvent the "paid" nature of the main ones. IMO any For Sale posts here should be deleted immediately. That way the posters concerned will soon get the message.
Sorry Johnny, but that's bollocks. I don't want to read technical questions in General, but have no problem at all reading them in the technical forums, where there's no need to trawl through and separate them from the mass of true "general" threads that are posted here.
...but the mass of people viewing general don't/can't answer drivetrain questions. What's the point of having your post read by a mass of people when none of them know what you want to find out?
.... just making mental note not to answer any further posts from you unless they're in the correct forum. Adrian, are you out there?
