Anyone know how to fix vibrating lid on dash-top locker?
This has gradually been getting worse, to the point where there is now a permanent "tizzing" noise.
It appears to be coming from the catch itself. If I press down on it slightly it stops, as it does if the lid is left open.
Presumably the answer is to remove and then refit the catch, or is there a quicker/easier fix?

I had soem round foam self adhesive pads which came with some electrical equipment.
I stuck these along the edge exposed to the lid either side of the catch to push the lid away from the catch.
If you were very sensitive you could feel it makes it more difficult to close, but it fixed the rattling straight away.

Eventually it will break off because the screw holders in the back of it are plastic. (Temporary) solution is to remove the whole tray, and reattach the lid using longer screws.
