Mud flaps?? Naff or not?

Agree that they look Tacky with a capital 'T'.They come a close 2nd to carbon bonnets and just ahead of underbody neon lights.
Small discreet ones are fine but not STI or Rally replica flaps as they look very wide boy, still if you have Clitoris Blue and Gold wheels you probably would feel lost without them.

Look the dogs danglies mate. really good and protect the paintwork fantastically. Everbody to their own but will be nice to see your bodywork after 100,000 miles without them. Bet your do0rs will be peppered and for the comment clitoris blue. hahahaha. Would rather have a clitoris stimulating colour than a colour that attracts dicks.

Perhaps a poll of MY04 STi owners is needed?
You have guessed it - WR Blue for me.

As for protecting the paint... then the side of my car was getting well pitted before the flapps... heck out the side on pic 1 ... this was after 40 miles in the snow and salt... nuff said!

Stone deflectors like the prodrive ones protect the doors and do a fine job without spoiling the cars looks.

When I first bought my black WRX, I didn't like the red flaps that were on it. I thought, as soon as the winter ends they're coming off. Well two and a half years and 65K miles later, they finally came off. I was sorry to see them go, but I had to get rid off them because the new 18" wheels I just bought were rubbing against them. The car gets much dirtier now so I voted cool only because of the protection they offer.
Naff- two and a half years ago, I would have said yes
cool- not really, but I did kinda grow to like them.

Mudflaps are cool. they make the car look lower and more like a rally car.
they may at first that a bit of getting used to but they are worth the expence as they stop the stone chips and spme of the tar getting onto the bodywork etc...
