Any one park on the road overnight?
Just wondering how many of you park on the road over night? I dont have a garage or drive and am worried about parking on the road in case of damage more than theft, just trying make a final decision before parting with big bucks for a scoob.

You should absolutely buy a parking space for your treasure especially in the UK where would-be-owners are copious and perhaps therefore respectless theft is commonplace. Is it envy?
The stories some people have told on this site will convince you. From scoobies stolen in bright daylight at 11 o'clock in Didsbury to entry into private houses to steal the key and consequently the car parked on the drive.
If I lived in the UK, I would not own a Scooby, type R, evo etc but would stick to my mx5...

Ive alarmed the car up to the eyeballs so nobody could even open the door without it going off.
Maybe you should consider the same if you can

This is one of those tempting fate posts...
I live on a terrace street and usually am lucky enough to get a spec right outside the front door. So far it hasnt been touched, depsite all the passers by having a good look etc.
Mines alarmed, immobilised, has a tracker etc but you could keep it garaged at home every day and leave it in a prescinct for 5 mins and come back to see it scratched or come back and not see it all ....
Its worth the bucks and not worth the worry no matter how much you love it. Take the ness security precautions and enjoy your scoob.

I'm amazed those clear indicators and spoiler haven't gone walkabout yet. Good to hear a happy story instead of all the scare stories of theft and vandalism There are probably hundreds of scoobs on the streets of Britain that never get touched, just that you dont hear about those.

zesty - What area of the country are we talking about? The response you get to your question might be different depending on your answer to this. I don't think i need to tell you the answer if you lived in the Moss Side area

Borich - nice car m8, but I'd be very careful about advertising where your car is parked at night, and especially posting a pic of the area, although I appreciate your location isn't shown on your profile
I'm sure Zesty has a legit reason for being worried and asking about parking on the street, but there may well be others looking at this thread for a totally different reason if you get my drift.

If you're so paranoid buy a fecking fiesta.. scoobs are no worse than ay other desireable car.. and if it's gonna get nicked it will do regardless of where it's parked - on street or in garage !!!

I park on a terraced street and can sleep safely at night knowing chav scum dont know what house to break into to steal the keys, if i had a driveway i would have a landrover as a scoob would just tempt fate, one year on and not a single dent or scratch from being on the street although i fold my mirrors in when leaving her

Used park on the road, I knocked the front wall down with a sledge hammer. Now car is parked in the front garden, within jumping distance of my bedroom window
