just got an afterburn vortex rear box to add to my 03 wrx.
just with the rear box what sort of sound will i get?
also i have been told there are very easy to put on is this true as im very good at those sort of things?

Hi mate,

have just fitted the Vortex backbox to my MY03 STi and it gives a nice deep burble on tick over, and sounds fantastic on full throttle, especially in tunnels!

All you need to do is spray WD40 on the 3 rubbers holding the old exhaust in place this will allow you to ease the exhaust off without hassle after undoing the 2 bolts to the centre section. I reused the metal gasket from the old exhaust and with a bit of exhaust paste to get a nice seal the Afterburner went on within 10 mins.

Make sure you have good light it really helps, make sure you use axel stands not a jack. Mind you on mine I could access almost everything necessary without going directly under the car.

What warranty with this exhaust?
