Did the job myself 2 or 3 years ago. Firstly the sills - very straight forward, on the underside of the sills you'll find 2 or 3 bolts per section, just undo with a socket. Make sure you undo them the right way as they go into some plastic plugs & you can strip the thread out. When the bolts are out, gently pull the sill towards you as they are secured by 4 or 5 poppers, starting at one end & work your way along. Half hour job max if you've never done it before.
Secondly the spats. Could take an hour or two! I managed it, on a dark winter's evening in my garage, & didn't remove the bumper, but what a pig of a job. Why? Mainly due to access & general fiddlyness. Each spat is held on by one bolt next to the rear wheel, which is easy enough, & two sliding clamps. The clamps use screws which need a very tight angle to get access to, & cannot be seen - you have to unscrew them blind & by feel - this is further complicated by the clamp & screw being non-galvanised & rusting together - even on a 1 year old car - genius! This is job for starting early, on a bright dry day, without any time constraints, and lots of patience & perseverence, and a decent screwdriver set.
I wont even mention putting it back together again!

Spats are easy
mine took 5 minutes to take off, 8mm bolt just inside the wheel arch, then slide them off (that is on a 37k miles car, 4 years old too)

Cheers guys.
I'm gonna tackle them at the weekend..i've got access to a ramp, so hopefully that should make things a bit easier...
Maybe i should just drop the car off and leave it with them...
Thanks again fellas.
