Lost boost pressure - Help !
First post everyone, so hello.
I have a 2003-4 YM WRX, have installed a mech. boost gauge, and in standard trim am seeing 13-14 psi continuous and initial surge upto 15 psi. Nothing seems wrong there or so I hope.
Installed a Power Engineering T75 back box at weekend, nice sound - felt a bit keener in 2nd and 3rd , no problems there then.
Coming home from work tonight, I was travelling at motorway speed (on the motorway obviously) and I noticed that under WOT I was getting only 5-6psi. There was no fuss, no drama, no "funny" noises nothing had obviously changed.
The same thing happened in 1st, 2nd and 3rdwhen I came of the motorway, although when I took the car out later it was indicating 10 psi surge and 8-9 psi continuous.
The car is less "urgent" on boost, spool up is noticabley slower and boost recovery between gear changes less noticable.
No other mods and about 3K on the clock.
Anyone got any ideas ?
Ta,
