Question sti 5 type r

hi guys,

should a 1999 sti 5 type r v ltd have a 22b style front bumper / bonnet??

was it an option in japan to have roll cages fitted??

No. A 22B should have a 22B style bumper/bonnet.

A Type R should have a Type R style bumper/bonnet.

Having said that, there are plently cars running around with aftermarket 22B style kits on.

was it an option in japan to have roll cages fitted??
I'm guessing, but I sincerely doubt it.

SG72`s 5 Type R came with a cage from Japan.

Dont know when it was fitted though.

Quite a few manufacturers do them.

Renaultsport in France make them for the Clio Cup, and the original Cup brochure stated that it was a dealer fit option, but it never materialised.

its just that this car i am looking at has 22b style spotlight covers. wud it b possible 4 a 22b bumper to fit?? with out sticking out at the edges due to the wide arches?

Just because they make them doesn;t automatically make it a dealer option!

My point was that Renault make roll cages, but your dealer won't fit one for you.

And like I said, I was guessing that they didn;t purely as I've never heard of it, and imports with cages fitted are extremely few and far between, usually always aftermarket ones. Never seen an STi one yet.
