when you turn the pc on there should be a message saying press * key to enter setup / bios.

could by the del key or f8 ect depending on pc make / motherboard / bios.

one of the options in the bios (boot options typically) you can change the order in which the pc boots from) by default it should be floppy cdrom hdd, but if it is sett to HDD as option 1 it will not boot from cd.

cheers

you need to get your self into the bios when the 'puter first comes on and is doing it's memory check (normaly the delete key or F8 will get you there IIRC)

from in the bios there will be somehwere that you can change the boot device order, it's a different layout depending on the manufacturer/version of the bios that you have so it's just a case of looking.

when you find it, set it so that the CD is primary boot followed by your hard drive

you should find that the boot order of all/most new machine are
a
cd
c

but again you will find that you might have to go in to the setup as mentioned by James and Peter

or you could create a boot disk on a floppy with the cd drivers on, boot from that and then access your cd drive from the command line.
