Talking Finnally got my car... and first question already!

After a couple of weeks looking for a car I cam across a late 2003 WRX in my local dealer.

Pick her up on Thursday

Cant wait!

Thanks to everyone who helped me over the last week or so on here.

No doubt I will be back with loads of questions.

First one though - what is the best induction kit to go for?

I will be getting the PPP at some point but I would like to get an induction kit to start.

Thanks

BTK.

Go for a Green panel filter, as induction kits tend to suck in hot air on this engine due to the positioning of the airbox.

Where is the best place to get the filter then?

Thanks

Have a chat with the dealer to make sure that the warranty will be ok with the induction kit and that they are happy to fit PPP with it on.

got my green filter from scoobysport m8

next day delivery...

and Butty's correct, gutmanpug (on here) went to have a TSL re-map with a trust induction kit already fitted, apparently it ran to warm, so they put the standard panel kit back on (with a green filter I think)

As said above , check your warranty first , if the engine goes pop (and they can) how gutted will you be if they wriggle out of paying just because of your induction kit . Enjoy the new toy though

Thumbs up

Cheers, I will ask them about it.

Maybe the best thing to do is go for the high flow OEM style filter.

Thanks

There's a group buy at the moment for OEM STi filters that are for either the US 2.5 turbo or 2.0 JDM ST's (not sure which). I would have thought that either of these would be more acceptable for keeping your warranty intact.
If the garage is a good one then they should be able to advise you on what is or isn't acceptable.

Just go for a backbox... the sound is by far the most important!

Cheers - I will ask them when I pick up the car.

The car will be getting the PPP at somepoint as that dealer fits it.

Cheers for all the replies.
