Any good?..............Nah............................ .....they're great

Well at least I think so. A lot more expensive than other gauges but these are the best looking IMHO and have lots of features (playback, peak settings, etc). The prices quoted on the link you posted are quite cheap, I paid a lot more (although that was over 1 year ago). Try and see if you can get a deal on the BF range as these are the best.

Cheers

Chris

Forgot to say, a lot of people are now opting for a S.E.C.S which is a single din LCD unit that does pretty much everything the Defi's do and loads more. Can be mounted on the dash like the defis or under/above the stereo. Prices are about £350 - £400 (I think) and it plugs straight into the port under the steering wheel so fitting is a doddle (or so I'm told). I'm sure some helpful person will be along in a minute to post a link to the website.

The SECS website is http://www.psi3.co.uk/index2.html. Yes, apparently it does display pretty much anything the ECU reads. However, it doesn't look nearly as cool as a set of Defi's!

Alcazar where did you get your dials and guage pod from looks like you did a good job and I like the way you took the drink holder out to fit the control unit in very good.

Thumbs up

Mine came from Scoobymania in Nottingham, both dials and pod.

I'd recommend anyone to try them, as they looked after me.............good price, and kept the bits they had in stock for me until the rest arrived, on my say so, no deposit.

Boost gauge on the right????????

Nah, everyoner knows that's where the Oil PRESSURE has to go:

Yes mate I think it does at the moment.

However IIRC plans are underway for Gems, Motec, etc versions.

LMAO

I know exactly how you feel, chased a DB7 GT yesterday over a nice stretch of road. I swear when I started I had 1/2 a tank, when I finished the road I was less than a 1/4

Tal,

Is that an alarm LED on your pod next to the defi sticker?

Presumably there's enough clearance underneath in the moulding to drill thro' & wire one in...?

What colour are the pods originally and is it a spraying job to get them "dash coloured?"

Ta,

I'd recommend ScoobyMania for the gauges.
I got the defi BF boost, oil temp, oil pressure and control unit II from them a couple of weeks ago at a very good price and they delivered them next day.

Awesome service.

does the scoobymania dash pod for MY00 need glueing on or does it use existing mounts? Did they do you a deal for the complete kit how much?

Well, they still had the bits 10 days later when the pod came in, so who am I to doubt them?

I can only report good service if I get it.

>>>>>>Is that an alarm LED on your pod next to the defi sticker?

Yes sort of its the Clifford Blackjax led (nice custom bright blue one)

>>>>>>>> Presumably there's enough clearance underneath in the moulding to drill thro' & wire one in...?

Quite a bit of space under there drilled it when it was out obviously going to try to put my knock link leds in there to

>>>>>>>>>>>>>What colour are the pods originally and is it a spraying job to get them "dash coloured?"

Mine is a proper defi one and it came under coated I had it sprayed in the same gunmetal colour (with a mat laquer) as the dash insert

It looks wonderfull

Tal

They are expensive but they are fantastic
