Number Plates
#2
I dont know as you can buy "online" plates legally, as having to provide "proof of ownership and identity ". I would not think youwould be too keen on emailling a copy of your registration document and driving licence to some unknown company now would you?
This law came into effect in Jan of this year as to only allowing supply of number plates from licenced suppliers. So you have to prove ownership of the car and also identify yourself as owner [by the names and addresses matching].
It was brought in to prevent people from cloning number plates for use through speeding camera's and all that.
So, even going to halfords for a set of plates, you will need to take your documents with you.
