Question Prodrive WRX Spring Kit.....opinions?.....

I'm pretty certain I'm gonna get the spring kit at the first service but wondered what people thought who have it fitted?

I've got an MY04 WRX and I think it sits to high on the wheels and has pretty soft suspension considering.

I don't want bone shaking suspension like on an EVO though.

What are the differences you've noticeds since fitting, I presume Subaru sort out the geometry at the same time?

It lowers the front by 25mm the rear by 20mm, Gets rid of that up on stilts look the standard car suffers from. The main benefit as regards ride and handling is that it gets rid of most of the high speed float and wallow that you can get. The ride is still very good and not at all bone jarring and a good overal compromise well worth the money IMHO.

Well worth doing. More control at speed but still too much roll on slower corners, roundabouts etc. Probably needs a damper upgrade as well but Prodrive don't seem to be prepared to offer one unless anyone knows something I don't?

I had the prodrive springs fitted to my STi8 .... makes a big difference to both looks and handling. Ride quality was never great for me with 19" fitted anyway, didnt notice any real difference after the springs.

To see an even bigger difference, get the Alignment, Rear ARB and solid droplinks done. A STI with no understeer.... great fun

AR I don't think is does need new dampers, On my WRX03 PPP I have also fitted a Whiteline ARB 22mm dia with the solid drop links and this has got rid of even more body roll, this solution available from TSL, or Powerstation is good value for money and will go along way to sorting this trait out.

Regards

Cool

AR LOL! I reckon it's all those Gold bars in the back of that wagon that are the problem!! Trying to remember the cost, I think it was £542 all in but I did have the front anti lift kit fitted as well. So knock off £60 to fit the springs (powerstation fitted my Prodrive springs at the same time) and it would be £480 ish but this would also include full GEO. Someone should know who would fit this north of the border.

John

AR like you I have PPF7 18 and with this set up it handles very well !!!!
