just had my sti5 de-restricted at powerstation - who wants a race

joking aside - they put a little black electrical box between the gearbox and somewhere else . if you look under the intercooler (turbo side) you maybe able to see if its been done. otherwise some have em fitted directly behind the speedo.

Or you could borrow a private road and see if it goes over 112 mph or not.

Even if the speedo is in MPH it can be restricted - my Type R was..

P.s. If you car conks out at 120MPH then you know it's restricted and you also know how far out the speedo is...

hmm maybe I need to 'Really' check mine then. Speedo/odometer is MPH and I took it to 120 so i thought it was OK. Although I should get my Road Angel tomorrow which presumably gives a very accurate speed readout.
