officially it invalidates the cat 1.
My old one was non compatible with my cat 1 anyway, so i had to wait for the TT to finish before i could arm the alarm.

My clifford dealer wired a TT in as part of the alarm using the follow me home lights function. press the button, take the keys out and get out arm and lock the alarm. as easy as that.

you can get engine start with clifford alarms which means you can start the car from your house on cold mornings with the alarm still, also you can also pull up after a drive press the engine start button take the keys out of the ignition set the alarm and walk away (the time it runs for can be set by your installer, between 1 & 30 mins i think)
