Question Does anyone know a good Pulsar Specialist?

I know it's not a Scooby but my friends Nissan Pulsar is dead. He is posting on a Nissan website as well but the more people who can recommend somewhere the better. Basically the engine has given up and flown the nest. He has been quoted £5500 to sort the engine out which we all thought was a bit much.

Does anyone know a good specialist in the Hampshire type area or even a little further away? We can get use of a trailer so transporting it shouldn't be problem. Possibly be better to get a new engine fitted rather than fix the old thing!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Give Graham Durragh at GDA a ring on 01892 740006. He's based just outside Tunbridge Wells.

He maintained my GTIR for 2 years, including a full top end rebuild, after which it ran faultlessly.

He also often has a good selection of 2nd hand bits which can make things a bit less painful.

forgot to put in the original post - GDA (used to) specialise in GTIRs, including importing them direct from Japan. Very knowledgable about them.

If he doesn't mind travelling HiTeq (Wigan) are very highly recommended. Very reliable good power rebuilds.

Yeah, would recommend Nisstec (Formerly SE Nissan) and Hiteq.

Tuning Japanese are in Aldershot, and when I was there for a RR day in Jan, they had 2 GTI-R's in there with big turbos!

GDA get my vote also.
Grahams a very friendly knowledgable bloke. When ever my Impreza been at his place he's had a number of Pulsars in the garage.
