Question wheelie good advice needed

Hi
I have a white 94 WRX RA in really good condition, thinking of changing the wheels from the Fox 17" 5 spoke, to white compomotive 5 spoke, and also fit red/orange mudflaps. what do you think ? ?

I'm trying to achieve the rally/tarmac look, as opposed to the pretty Mcdonalds car park possy look.

What size in width keeping the 17" dia can I go to avoiding wheel arch & steering scrape.

Comments appreciated

If the Astra & 206 cab's are home pull on the drive and say hello, I'm about to get the scoob mot'd so it will be back on the road. Would like to do a couple of things before the summer, change the wheels & possibly the system & may change the brakes they are diar.
