i've got a tow bar on my MY93, and so far the biggest thing i've pulled( besides the girlfriend!!!!!!!!) is my mates 5 door frontera when he brokedown, pulled him at least 15 miles no props. just take it easy, ease the power in!!!!!

Dave
Can't imagine it would cause a problem, a bike trailer with a couple of crossers is no real weight to tow. The main issue is not to tow something wich is too heavy as it could be unstable as a scoob is quite light. Also if you are on full boost all the time you could put you're engine under too much load for too long when you are going quite slowly - a highly tuned performance engine would not be suitable for this. e.g. a powerful tractor would be less than 200bhp but would pull a lot of weight all day long with no harm - your car's the opposite.

I towed my crosser's all over with various "performance" cars for years - when I was a lad that is - old git now!

It like putting a Race horse in a Dung Cart

Performance cars are not ment to tow trailers especially not Subaru WRX 's

Cool

yep suppose it is but if you can't afford two cars then it should be OK if you go steady and don't pull a caravan or anything stupid.

A std WRX is still a pretty resilient all round motor.

cheers for the comments guys, the way im now looking at it, is that towing a very small and light bike trailer with 2 crossers on it, is about the same as having 4 passengers in the car? like barneyrubble said, i cant really afford to buy, insure and tax another car when i would only be using it at weekends every other week.
