Default New Boy

Hi all, im new to this site 2day.
I'm on the lookout for a turbo'ed Scooby (just sold my R6) and have £5k max to play with.
Are there any recomended specialist dealers to go through or is it a case of waiting for a good un to come along privately? Oh and im after a UK spec one!

Thanks.

Welcome
I would go private if I was u. Most the dealers put quite a lot on top so I'm not sure you'll get much at a dealer for 5k imo.
Save some more money- youll need it for the mods anyway

I wouldnt worry too much whether the car is UK or Jap spec either. It isnt such a big deal these days and Jap cars usually have higher spec to start with

You won't get a UK one for that money very easily I'm afraid There's nothing wrong with a WRX import ands there's a few nice ones for sale on here for that money

£5000.....

You should be able to pick a couple of Bugeye WRXs for that sort of money.

Ive been offered 'two balloons and a gold fish' for my 01WRX but I didnt want to take advantage of the buyers good nature.

PS. Welcome to the site, enjoy. Dont believe everything you read, especially if your told that emptying a bag of sugar in your tank will give you an extra 150 brake, it wont. Also ignore anything posted by Yoza.

Ah thats a shame, thought £5k was enough for a UK one. Only reason i want a UK spec is cos of insurance. Been getting quotes on other imports (FTO's) and just cos its an import im looking at near on a grand fully comp. UK scooby is just over £550!! (plus its faster )
The modding bug kicked in when i was 17 and i still haven't grown out of it, guess i never will!
