Can anyone please tell me if there is a charge for the first year body inspection on a WRX - just had a reminder letter through but no mention of any charges or costs.

Mine was due immediately after buying my car and was to be done as part of the purchase along with the 20k/1yr main service, but they screwed me (Eddie Wright, Scnuthorpe ) so I had to get it done myself. After three calls to three dealers I got three prices. £125 , £100 and £45 all +VAT. KT Greens at Otley (conveniently the closest to me ) were the cheapest. Moral, "Don't accept the 1st price, ever !"

Cheers. Can't believe they charge you to look at how badly the car was built in the first place.

Bodywork is as thin as a Lancia. Wings are made of resin, boot is like a tin can lid. Bonnet bends over 60mph.

I appreciate this keeps the weight down - but where can it rust ?

It seems the cost varies quite a bit by area.

It cost me £110 in Preston. Can get it done for £99 in Carlisle.

My main dealer NEVER did the body servicing on my brand new MY01, i kept it 2 1/2 years and it was never done and they say they follow a set schedule.

Yeah Right.
