Question How easy are STI MY03 prodrive springs to fit yourself?

Can they be done yourself or not? Will it affect the warranty? Got a couple of mates with garages so have the correct tools and help?

How much will I save?

Probably can do yourself - but the geometry will need re-setting regardless, so you'll need access to a 4wheel alignment machine at between £70-90. Springs cost £200?
Saving = £60-100 but no warranty on springs / dampers unless done by a dealer ...

Powerstation quoted me something like £350 all inc (supply, fit and re-set geometry to "fast road" settings) and my local dealer quoted £400.

As long as you've got the right tooling inc. a spring compressor, it's quite straight forward. I've done my own and between us, my sons (both 03STi's)
There are a couple of things you should be aware of if you do decide to do it yourself. When you've made your mind up, re-post and get some do's and dont's.

the other thing i forgot to ask is my nsr suspension is very noisy and knocks repeatedly on bumby roads (you can hear it over the stereo!) as moaned about all over suspension section. Anyone had any better results with the new springs? Its going in to have a new something fitted to fix it so maybe i can persuade a discount if they do it at the same time!
