S'alright Julie, within minutes the sharks will descend, and you'll be swamped with offers of assistance.

Welcome anyway!

Hi Julie, good to see you've made it over here from the SIDC forums. Come along to one of the Sussex meets and have a listen to what some of us have done.

There's loads of posts in the ICE forums with suggested replacements for the double din STi headunit. I've just changed mine to a Blaupunkt LA MP72 and single din 5 cd changer, both of which i picked up from the for sale forum. In the front doors I put Infinity 6000cs speakers and in the rear parcel shelf Infinity 9603i which sound excellent. Still needs a bit of fine tuning to sort out some niggles but way better than the standard set up.

Hello!!

I've got a Kenwood MP3 headunit. Fantastic value for money, can fit a cd changer's worth on 1 cd And no way will it skip. Full ID3 title display etc etc.

Here's a couple of links from the East Sussex meet. There is a West sussex meet imminent but I have not had the pleasure of attending one yet!

Cool Welcome

Hi Julie

Sorry to hear of your loss - what would he have thought of your treason by moving to 4 wheels! Anyway welcome.

I have my03sti (no ppp - i am going a different route) and also live in West Sussex - south of Horsham.

Watch out for the Gatso's round here. This lot all seem to think the Bel is the best value and function radar detector . Costs about £300.

Maybe see you around.

Hi Julie,

Radar Detectors are of diminishing value as PC Plod switches to Laser: they also tend to have an enormous false alarm rate. GPS Camera warning system is best value these days IMHO, of which Snooper and Road Angel have their advocates. For Laser Diffuser, LRC100 is only sensible option.
