As reported in Autocar a few weeks back, there is an Impreza WRX working as a taxi in the St.Helens area. WHich has been seen by a number of people I know ...

Now this lunchtime, a mate of mine spotted a T-reg Lancer Evo parked in a taxi rank in St.Helens ...

What is the world coming to?

As well as Novas stuck to our tailgates, we're now going to have to contend with people hailing us in the street and trying to get into our cars at traffic lights after closing time ...

Talking

And, talking about Taxis, get along to your local Blockbusters and rent a video called "Taxi".

It is the most gripping car-related film I've seen of late - real fun from beginning to end!

(I haven't seen Ronin yet so I can't compare it with apparently THE best recent car-chase film.)

One warning, it is a French film and you can get it in two versions, subtitled or dubbed but believe me, that doesn't detract from its watchability in the slightest.

Get it today!

Ronin? Cack!

But watch The Driver this week - how to remove a car door in one easy lesson.

Mike,

Whilst your English is excellent, one for your vocabulaire, we call the "suite" to a film a sequel.

Hope you're not too lost in France. I thought les Belges played really well in their opening game. Personally I fancied Portugal even before last night.

Taxi for Keegan..........

All,

It's true about the Jap cars in St. Helens. I pass through St. Helens to get to work and I saw one one the way home last night. Looked like a white Evo VI. A few years ago there was a taxi firm in Manchester that used Sierra Cosworth 4 X 4s as their fleet.
Just goes to show that us northerners have found a true use for these imports
