A shade over 10k ? , some dealers will have them up for as much as 12k , but will they sell at that price ? , Just my guess , best of luck

Well you did say 'give me the worst ' , I'd love to say it's worth 15k (would make my MY99 worth a lot more ) , but at the end of the day it comes down to what someones prepared to pay . Had a little look on Autotrader and they range from £8995 to as high as £12900 around my area , I guess if your not in a rush you put it in high and see what happens .

I saw an X reg for 13k and an S for 9k today on main dealer forecourt both had 37k on clock and were mint, a rough guess private would be 2.5k less maybe 3k less, as stated above the Autotrader prices vary vastly you have to hope you touch for a decerning buyer who doesnt mind paying for a good example of a car he really wants, good luck m8.

You have the best UK Classic shape ever made in the best colour, don't sell for less than £10,500 but I would expect to get between 10.5k > 11k in a private sale.
Trade in expect £1,500 less then private.

£10,500-£11,000
People want the late Classic shape and Red Mica is a very rare colour.
Polish it and you will sell it on a sunny day....who could resist that colour in the sunshine?

Sell it private and realise £10.5k then negotiate with some other dealers for a good deal on your new one, and take it to the insulting dealer for the free 1k service to rub his nose in it.

I don't blame them for the £8.5k though. It is fair when you consider their overheads. They are a business after all, not a charity. They will sell fully serviced, valetted and warrantied (maybe?) and might have it on their lot for some time. You can simply do better for yourself if you put in the effort.
