Tried Mintex 1155, very dusty, were quite heavy on the discs, didn't last that long and before the pad material had got the minimum thickness it started pulling away from the backplate I had got them a bit too warm once or twice tho

Currently on Redstuff which are better IMHO, much less dirty, less disc wear, similar braking performance. They do work better with a bit of heat in them but are more than adequate when cold. Think they cost about £100 but I can't remember where from!

You might do better in the wheels, tyres & brakes forum, but:

I've just started using Ferodo DS2500 from TSL and would definitely recommend them. They were just over £100. They work better when warm, but seem at least as good as OE pads when cold. Dust isn't too bad, but since they're new I can't comment on wear rate.

I agree, got for the Ferodo's.

I currently use the Red Stuff, for brake dust they are unbelievable producing little or no dust on your wheels. But my only complete is they don't work too good till you've put a bit of heat in them. When cold they're pretty ****e. Everyone on her rates the Ferodos, so that's wot I'll be using next.

I've had pagid before now and found them very good - I think they were just over £100, only moderate amount of dust, pretty much fade free on the track (within reason) - wooden when cold tho, but I suppose thats to be expected from a high performance pad

Eddoe

What are the TarOx 40 grooves like? Notice much difference from standard?

In the process of looking for new discs on my MY99 thinking of going Pagid.
