When are Insurance Co's going to Recognise BlackJax?
I have just renewed insurance, and have contacted dozens of companies for quotes.
Not one had heard of my BlackJax!!
I explained it, and told them how IMO it was better than the Tracker that a few of them recommended, but no-one could find it on their system.
Shouldn't they be up to speed with this - I think it is preferable not only to the owner, but also the insurance co in terms of car recovery and cost, to a tracker.

I phoned my insurance company (liv vic) about the same thing while organising the recent group buy. The girl I spoke to said she had heard of the system as it was becoming quite popular, but said it wouldn't afffect my premium .. i.e. no rebate. as it wasnt a recognised device on thier system.

i thought it was because it was not thatcham 1 approved. it did not get thatcham approval because thatcham say you can not imobilse the car while moving, and this is what blackjax does.

With Liverpool victoria, no security system makes a difference to the premium. But then again, you can keep modding away on your car without affecting the premium, so it kind of cancels each other out really...
