Unhappy HELP SPEEDO!!!!!

just got my 95 wrx import on the road on wednesday and last night coming back from work the speedo needle just started to bounce at 30-35 mph just there. but the rev counter was still going no matter how much stick i gave it the speedo didint go above 35mph. what could it be guys could it be the converter on the back of the speedo to convert it to mph because i think they are mechanical on these. please could somebody tell me what this is cos its doing my head in plzzzz

sounds like the speedo is sticking

there is a viscus type device in the back of the speedo that could be bent if its been droped etc when converted that could cause this prob

check for and impairments that could stop the needle riseing above 35mph

other than that you may need another clock

there are some specialists that advertise in the autotrader they could help possibly

hi mate thanks for the reply what does this viscus device look like coyuld you explain it to me in thickmans term cos will be pulling it out. if its a new clock how much do these cost roughly?
