Smile Have I been done . . . . .

. . . . or am I being paranoid when it comes to main dealer servicing?

Spec section in 03 WRX Turbo handbook says engine oil capacity is 4.5 litres.

My 10K Service invoice says :-

Brand X Oil Half Litre >>>>> 10 Units >>>>> £2.43 >>>>> £24.30 ex VAT

IMHO a wet refill would not take the full 4.5 litres due to there being some residual oil left after draining.

The level is correct on the dip stick,so where did over half a litre odd of oil go?

Answers on a postcard.

I also always fill my washer bottle to the brim on the morning of a service cos I begrudge paying through the nose for basic consumables or just plain water.

They still got me. 300ml of screen wash tucked in cup holder & invoiced for it.I suppose I should be grateful for that,as in the past I have been charged & got nothing. Why would they assume I wanted it? I buy a gallon oops 4.5 litres at a time & it lasts through the winter.

Mark (paranoid & what are those voices in my head?)

Return the washer fluid and ask for your money back!

I've got a Merc and at the last service the delaer charged me for 8l of oil (@ £11.99/ litre). I called Halford to check the price and they do a 5l can of the same oil for £29.99. A quick call to the manager of the dealer ship got me over £50 back.

In future I'll be tcking my own oil and screenwash to the service and pointing out where it is.

Here you go.Only get Graphite Black if you love cleaning & polishing & more cleaning. It looks the dogs when its done but is a labour of love to keep it that way.

Phil, what's all this "too boy racer" stuff. Tell them about your neons, pimps and furious wing ideas LOL!

not too sure about the gold flake in it
Weird thing is Phil when I had my test drive it was a dull overcast day & I didn't even realise it had gold fleck. It just looked plain gloss black. When I went back to sort some details it was a sunny day & wow what a difference. The photo was taken with maximum attack angle from the sun & needed a lot of lining up to get the full effect.Several shots I took didn't show a thing.

Now what colour neons to not clash with the black & gold?

Mark
