Im aware of the P-2-W (sorry, being lazy) ratio advantage, but surely a 60bhp difference is a big gap to bridge, its not like we're talking about Megabusa vs Challanger tank?
Id be interested to know the facts tho.

What is the torque figure for both cars. This will indicate the lower to mid range acceleration abilities.
'Snap throttle response' if you will
Top end it will be the Nissan as the higher BHP will overcome the drag required to pull the car through to a higher speed. They are also more rwd bisaed over a certain point.
AFAIK anyway

Surely the GTR. With 60 extra horses and all those computer gadgets under the hood like the Altessa E-TS pro would see it off the line much quicker.

thanks guys
i was guessing the 60 bhp would overcome the weight
sorry but dont know the torque
i was just thinking about the extra beef the sky carries.I sat in 1 and looked over it the other day
its a big monster !!!!

STi4 with just induction/decat unlikely to make a genuine 340bhp, more like 300-310 on an average RR IMHO, unless there are also other mods.
Skyline likely to have a healthy torque advantage etc due to bigger capacity engine.
Probably won't notice much difference through 1st and 2nd gear, but the higher the speed climbs, the more the skylines overall power would pull it away, again IMHO

Mine is a 92..
To be honest it's easy to comment if you haven't experienced both, but IMO the 2 cars/specs you have there (btw I'd say an sti 4 with only those mods would be circa 310bhp IMO), the GTR is 'supposed' to be 280bhp from the factory (due to Japanese regs), but in reality when they are put on the rollers here, standard ones put out 320bhp. With the mods on that Skyline you talk of it will easily be a solid 380bhp.
The gearing is a big issue, the Skyline is longer in the gears and 1st gear is actually awesome compared to my scoob (which would be over in about half a second on WOT), they rev higher also (which I was suprised about for a straight six).
I see it like this it would be close from a standing start (but GTR ahead slightly because of longer 1st), then once in top of revs in 2nd gear the longer legs would see it pull away a bit more as scoob changes gear then once into 3rd, 4th and 5th the GTR would pull a considerable amount.
All IMO ofcoarse
