Just wondering if somebody could shed some light on when the MY changed from 03 to 04.

Trying to make out what mine is - it was registered in July last year.

MY04 has a square boot lock rather than round on the MY03.

Not sure if anything else at all has changed.

Andy.

i've got an MY04, WR Blue. changes include the silver square boot lock, and the side sills are now colour coded with the rest of the car. previously on the MY03 they were black on all colours of the car. and very nice they are. other than that nil other changes.

hope this helps

Correct. The model year changeover occurs in car factories around September/October time. This gives sufficient lead-time for the new model year cars to be sea-freighted to most parts of the world in time for the actual new year.

Not unless you specifically asked them for a 2004 model year car, or can otherwise prove that the specification they sold you was the 2004 version (assuming you drove a demonstrator, was it an '03 or '04 car?).

If you simply ordered a new WR Blue Impreza STi Type UK, they're perfectly within their rights to supply you a brand new MY03 car if that's what they choose to do.

Really cant see the resale being affected at all , 95% of buyers wouldnt know the difference and any that did would no that there was no worthwhile change
