not a wind up post(although the title sounds like it!)
talking about some posts i've read refering to revs hunting to indicate a knackered MAF. is hunting revs a drop in revs? if so how far do they drop?
only asking coz i had a remap yesterday and my revs drop a little when i'm moving along stop start in traffic, probably only down to no less than 650 at worst, and then it'll pick back up to 750 straight away.
probably always done it but it was in my head so i was looking today.

cheers

It's when the revs are constantly increasing and dropping on idle, as if they're "hunting" for a place to level out

I have always thought that hunting would be described as the revs fluctuating over say a 300rpm range when idleing.
But i may be talking poo

How are you enjoying your new power now m8.
I cant believe that they squeezed 275bhp and 277lb/ft out of mine.

I rang them up today to check what boost they had used.
I was told that it was around 1.1 bar.
I trust P.E though, as they have a good reputation.

I am waiting for the indiglo gauge group buy to complete,
and then i will be a bit happier when i can keep an eye on my boost pressure.

cheers guys, no worries there then, just being a paranoid muppet!

greg, i'm having a blast! come home yesterday and every road near me was jam packed! at 2.00 in the afternoon for christs sake!!

went out about 10 last night and had a damn good thrash about, i am soooo happy with the car it's untrue! my peak power is at 6644 so it just pulls and pulls right to the redline without dropping off at all, sort of levels at 6250 then rises again to the peak, i'll try and use my mates scanner and get the power plot posted.
like i said, our power/torque plots were almost identical when chris layed them on top of each other, so i wouldn't bother with a downpipe if i were you coz the gains seem minimal (although maybe different makes give different results?).was a bit louder than yours on the rollers though, scared the **** out of me!!
i don't know what 1.1 bar is but chris said the target on mine was 17 psi, which my boost gauge backs up, he said my gauge was pretty spot on so i'll be able to keep a good check on things.
maddest bit though is my fuel consumption, been flooring it around everywhere and i'm using less fuel than before gonna do a check over a couple of tanks, i can't believe it can give that much increase in power and be better MPG!! will soon find out.

enjoy yourself mate!
