ive just been quoted £150 to tint my rear door windows and rear window. is this a reasonable price as it seems a little steep.i live in the dartford area if anyone knows of anywhere.

lain that sounds ok to me, i got quoted £350 to do my RB5 front and back and ended up getting it done for £150 thru a friend of a friend just a shame the police are trying to change the law on front window tinting.

That is a little steep had my windows done in Nottingham For £180 a place called tint-r

Very nice job, 2 front windows 2 rear windows and the back window.
Might be a little out of the way for u though, unless you want a blast out..

Apparently there's a new law coming in july that bans any tints on front windows and it is being applied retrospectively to jan this year!! This is due some high profile accidents. (see your local tintmasters for further details.)

mine is 20% back windscreen
35% rears
50% fronts

 

you get what you pay for. AFAIK ... some tints don't last that long.

i paid £225 for 4 sides + rear from someone who's doing main dealer work. very good service.

As for the new law thing i think they've just said that they need to be a shade lighter than what was previously legal but the guy there will explain all if you ask, he's very helpful!

Not heard about a change in the law but its been illeagal to have a dark tint on the fronts for quite some time. I think the minimum is 35%... most tinters should recormend over this.
Problem is I've seen countless motors mainly MPV's and X5's with spupid dark tints on the front. They have obviously have been done proffesionaly so its down to the muppets who did it!

In all honesty the police should crack down on illegal fronts, its someonce life they could be saving. when Mr muppet in his X5, on his mobile pulls out on a bike!

 

Had the 4 side and rear on my Terzo done by Kevlon Tints in Bexley village in a great shade of blue. They also have green and dark grey in varying densities, did a great job even down to removing glass and placing in warm airbox overnight to completely remove any bubbles before inserting glass back onto car.
Job took 2 days but well worth it.
