Question

Does anyone know if there is an accepted tolerance on service intervals before warranty is compromised ?

Example : An STi7 owner is short of cash when his car has done 20,000. He gets paid in a couple of weeks by which time the car has done 22,500. Will his dealer raise an eyebrow from a warranty point of view.

TIA

Cheers,

N

In the warranty manual you are permitted 1000 miles grace ( or 1 month - I think) was ready the warranty docs the other day.

Wouldn't think so I was oftern a couple of thou over taking the Bm in to the deals, no problems..
like the example...
As one of the lads said once told us in the pub...

"My m8 told me he's got some strange substance oozing from his Kn*b, anyway apparently hes tried some cream and it's not cleared up also he says its a bit sore... what do you think he should do, he's a bit worried about going to the clinic"
At which point we all fell about in fits of giggles....: D: D

had an issue myself with this, last car i bought, was 18 months between 7.5k and 20k miles, when i phoned im up, they said he had the 10k one done early as it was in 2001 when the schedule changed, so the difference was no problem, got a name of the person i spoke to, never had a problem, but never needed to use the warranty
