Hello There Guys, I was wondering if anyone can hrlp. I now see alot of these for sale and was wondering if these actually work. I have seen a group buy on here so a few of yous must have them. I bought a snooper s5 rader detector and is crap picks up all the traffic lights and electric shop doors and when i have passed police at the side of the road with the gun it has only flashed up once saying radar. So are jammers a gimmick like the detector? Cheers Gary

Radar - RAdio Detection And Ranging
Laser - Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emmission of Radiation

Different things....

Does Radar Jamming work...yes
Does in work in an everyday car....unlikely

To 'Jam' a Radar Speed Camera you have 3 options

1. Transmit a hugh amount of interference on the same frequency as the speed camera thus effectively 'blinding' the receiver in the speed camera unit. This would be the classic radar jamming but you'd need a tremendous amount of heavy equipment to achieve the right result....you'd not be able to speed 'cos of the extra ton of radar transmitter your towing around and it may also make you sterile with extended exposure.

2. Transmit a signal back to the camera unit which is of a higher power than the return from your vehicle which is says to the reciever that you are doing 30MPH (or whatever)...This is possible given that all speed camera units operate on Doppler Shift to measure speed, but you would need to know the frequency of the Speed Camera Radar before you got to it....

3. Stealth Technology...make your car less visible to radar..Fiber Glass, Carbon Fiber or Radar Absorbtion Material on something with a lot of angles (BMW 6 Series )all these things will reduce your Radar Signature

If all else fails use a HARM missile on them
